A rainy day but thank god not as bad as Marco's weather.
Today is once again my last day (of this week) at AFNORTH.
Once again a terrific, fun week. My supervisor and I get a long extremely well, he gives me the freedom to do my lessons and gives me the time to work on my essay.
Last week the pupils ended their reading logs. The reading logs are assignments that they need to do for literature. They read the book 'where the red fern grows' and this week they watched the film (movie for the americans here). Upcoming week they start writing their first essay. This essay will be a comparising essay between the book and the film. Teaching is fun but because I haven't read the book it is a bit hard for me to step into the whole reading proces. I try to help them with assignments and be a helping hand towards my supervisor. Today I finished my checking. I had to check the assignments from before the fall break. 6 literature classes! It took me 3 days to check them all. More than 80 test to check, 4 pages long...pff. But hey that's the job of a future teacher so you don't hear me complain..hihi.
I also observed a lesson of my teacher.

Hey Mary,
Checking is part of the job, of course! However to do someone else's isn't!:P Have fun this week!
Many regards,

Hi Mariechelle,
Pff, it sounds as if it was convenient for the teacher to have an intern check the assignments. :P
Good that you have the freedom to give lessons. How is the process of your own essay going by the way?
Maybe we could meet up at school once instead of bumping into each other on the stairs. ;)
Kind regards,
Anky
